Nourish & Thrive Therapy, PC (“Nourish & Thrive Therapy,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects the privacy of every family who visits our website. This Privacy Statement explains what information we collect through nourishandthrivetherapy.com (the “Site”), how we use it, and the choices available to you.
By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

Nourish & Thrive Therapy is a healthcare provider subject to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the California Confidentiality of Medical Information Act (CMIA).
This Privacy Statement applies only to information collected through our website. Protected health information (PHI) that we collect, create, or maintain in the course of evaluating and treating your child — including evaluation reports, treatment notes, authorizations, and billing records — is governed by our separate Notice of Privacy Practices, which is provided to every client at the start of services and is available upon request.
If any provision of this Privacy Statement conflicts with our Notice of Privacy Practices with respect to PHI, the Notice of Privacy Practices controls.
Information We Collect
Information You Provide Directly
We collect information you voluntarily submit, which may include:
Contact and inquiry information — your name, your child’s first name and age, email address, phone number, mailing address, and any details you choose to include when you complete a contact form, request an appointment, or email or call us.
Insurance and funding information — the name of your insurance plan or funding source (for example, Regional Center of Orange County or TRICARE West) if you provide it during an initial inquiry.
Communication preferences — including your consent to receive email or text message communications from us.
Any other information you choose to share in the message field of a form or in correspondence with our office.
Please do not submit detailed medical or diagnostic information about your child through a website contact form or unencrypted email. Website forms and standard email are not secure methods of transmitting health information. We will provide you with a secure method for sharing clinical information once services begin.
Information Collected Automatically
When you visit the Site, certain information is collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies, including:

Pages viewed, time spent on pages, and referring website

Information From Third Parties

Cookies and Analytics

Do Not Track. Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. There is currently no industry-standard response to DNT signals, and our Site does not currently respond to them.

We use trusted vendors to operate our practice and our Site — including our website host, our electronic health record and scheduling platform, our email provider, and our billing services. These vendors may access information only to perform services on our behalf. Vendors that handle protected health information are bound by HIPAA Business Associate Agreements.
Funding sources and payers. With your authorization, or as permitted by law, we share information necessary for authorization, billing, and reporting with entities such as Regional Center of Orange County, TRICARE West, or your health plan.
Legal requirements. We may disclose information when required by law, court order, or subpoena; to comply with mandated reporting obligations, including California’s child abuse and neglect reporting requirements; or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our clients, our staff, or the public.
Business transfers. If our practice is involved in a merger, acquisition, or transfer of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.
Children’s Privacy
Our services are provided to infants and children, but our website is directed to parents, guardians, and referring professionals — not to children.
We do not knowingly collect personal information online directly from children under the age of 13. Information about a child that appears on our Site or in our records is provided by a parent or legal guardian, or by a referring provider with appropriate authorization.
If you believe a child has provided personal information through our Site without parental consent, please contact us at the information below and we will delete it promptly.
Email and Text Message Communications
If you provide your email address or mobile number, we may contact you regarding appointments, scheduling, and practice updates. Message and data rates may apply to text messages. You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP, and you may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any such email.
Please note that you cannot opt out of communications that are necessary to your child’s care and to our provision of services, such as appointment scheduling and clinical follow-up.
Data Security
We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information we collect, including encrypted systems for clinical and billing records, access controls, and staff training. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data Retention
We retain website inquiry information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Statement. Clinical and billing records are retained in accordance with California law and professional licensing requirements — including the record retention requirements applicable to occupational therapists — and in accordance with our Notice of Privacy Practices.
Your California Privacy Rights
Shine the Light. California Civil Code § 1798.83 permits California residents to request information about disclosure of personal information to third parties for direct marketing purposes. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes.
California Confidentiality of Medical Information Act (CMIA). Medical information about you and your child is protected under CMIA in addition to HIPAA, and we will not disclose it without your written authorization except as permitted or required by law.
Third-Party Links and Social Media
Our Site may link to third-party websites, including our social media pages. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites. We encourage you to review the privacy policy of any site you visit. Any information you post publicly on our social media pages — including comments — may be visible to others, and we ask that you not include identifying health information in public posts.
Changes to This Privacy Statement
We may update this Privacy Statement from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last Updated” date above. Material changes will be posted conspicuously on the Site. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Statement.
